The organisation is a First Nations-led community development and research that creates positive change in and with First Nations communities. They undertake social and economic development, and research projects in partnership with First Nations communities, businesses, and people. Communities have control; they name the priorities and choose the design, assets, capabilities, and approach to achieve their vision. They provide tailored support through community partners, skilled staff, trained volunteers, supporters, and service providers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate strategic projects across the organisation, including research and evaluation activities.
Develop reports and other written content that effectively communicate the organisation's impact with a variety of audiences.
Undertake activities that strengthen data quality and improve outcomes and reporting.
Engage effectively with and provide support to other business units.
Adhere to all workplace policies, including Workplace Health and Safety.
Ability to work respectfully, effectively, and collaboratively with First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous people, understanding cultural protocols and expectations.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Effective written communication skills including experience with preparing reports, briefings, and other written content.
Strong analytical skills including attention to detail.
Knowledge of community development principles and monitoring and evaluation concepts.
Emotional intelligence demonstrated by strong team and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain productive relationships.
Strong IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs and data systems.
A formal qualification in social sciences, monitoring and evaluation, community development or similar is desirable.
