Key Responsibilities
Able to work between the two facilities (North Melbourne and Laverton north) .
Day or night shift in blocks of a month.
Comfortable driving a 15-tonne front end loader (with appropriate training provided by site supervisor)
Occasionally work up to 6 or 7 days a week when required.
Ability to work under pressure dealing with phone calls, customer facing with asphalt carters and using system to record asphalt sales.
Ability to manage constant change related work volumes and customer demands.
Physically able to do manual work, walk up and down flights of stairs, work at heights and in confined space. Be ok with working in dirty work environment. (with appropriate internal training)
Have basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and learn new systems.
Good communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
Conducting supervised mechanical work on the asphalt plant (no prior knowledge required)
Key Selection Criteria The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of:
Able to work autonomously and within a team efficiently.
Attention to detail.
High personal presentation, good verbal and communication skills needed.
