About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for individuals looking to commence a long-term career within the rail industry through a paid traineeship program. This role offers the opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification while gaining practical experience in customer service, station operations and public transport environments. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will develop the skills required to provide a safe, welcoming and reliable experience for customers across Melbourne's rail network. As a Trainee Station Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting passengers, maintaining station operations and contributing to a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to passengers
Deliver travel information and respond to customer enquiries
Make public announcements and provide service updates
Support platform operations and customer flow management
Assist in maintaining a safe and welcoming station environment
Monitor station areas and escalate operational issues where required
Respond professionally and calmly to customer concerns
Work collaboratively with station teams and operational staff
Participate in training and development activities as part of the traineeship program
Maintain compliance with safety procedures, policies and operational requirements

Important Information

Flexibility to work across multiple locations may be required
