About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field Supervisor – Mechanical to oversee mechanical maintenance activities, asset performance and field operations. The role provides leadership to fitters, apprentices and contractors, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery while maintaining compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance crews.
  • Lead daily field operations and resource allocation.
  • Support workforce training and development.
  • Monitor operational and contractual performance.
  • Ensure safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
  • Support preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Review timesheets and operational documentation.
  • Participate in incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You are an experienced maintenance leader with strong operational knowledge and a hands-on approach to team management. You can effectively balance safety, performance and customer expectations.
 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing field crews.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • White Card.
  • Trade qualification highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems.
  • Utilities or water industry experience desirable.
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space and EWP tickets advantageous.
