About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to provide high-level support to the Company Secretary, Executive Leadership Group, and Board within a respected public sector organisation. This is a 4-month contract opportunity offering strong exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to play a critical role in governance and Board operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support to the Company Secretary, Executive Leadership Group, and Board to ensure seamless Board operations
- Act as the primary liaison between the Corporate Secretariat, Board members, Committee members, and Board paper authors
- Coordinate end-to-end Board and Committee papers, agendas, and meeting logistics
- Guide stakeholders on Board paper preparation, expectations, and timelines
- Ensure all Board-related activities are delivered accurately and on time, including meeting setup and coordination
- Track departmental performance including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting
- Maintain governance registers (including interests register) and coordinate periodic disclosures
- Support broader governance and administrative functions within the team
About You
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management capability
- Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Experience supporting Boards, Committees, or senior executives
- Company Secretariat experience highly regarded
- Experience using Board governance systems such as 'Diligent' highly advantageous
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
