Position Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join a new SA Water Meter Reading contract as a Work Scheduler, becoming part of a newly established team commencing 1 May 2026.
This role is responsible for workforce planning, task allocation, and administrative support for meter reading operations. The Work Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring field activities are resourced effectively and delivered in line with contractual requirements and performance targets.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience working in an office environment (essential)
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with performance metric reporting (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work discretely with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience as a Work Scheduler is preferred but not essential.


Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and manage workforce planning and allocation using Microsoft Office applications, internal systems, client systems, and any future scheduling platforms.
  • Liaise with and provide operational support to field resources to ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and manage client KPIs to support successful service delivery.
  • Maintain field resource leave requests to ensure adequate resourcing levels are maintained.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with contractual quality and safety requirements and organisational standards.
  • Work closely with the Field Supervisor to identify improvement opportunities and address issues relating to field staff.
  • Assist other members of the administration team as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by management.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of:
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage workforce allocation and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work autonomously while meeting operational deadlines.
  • Experience supporting field based teams in a scheduling or coordination capacity.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with field staff, supervisors, and stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail, particularly in data entry, reporting, and KPI tracking
  • Ability to work discretely with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to identify issues and support practical resolution.
  • Team focused approach with a commitment to safety, quality, and service delivery outcomes
