The Civil Supervisor will oversee all civil maintenance activities and minor projects through the management of sub-contractor and internal teams, providing leadership by safely managing performance of people, work programs, and/or processes. They will coordinate road asset maintenance activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of works in line with TfNSW.

Key Responsibilities
Participate in formal and contractual meetings with the client and other relevant parties.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders.
Coordinate all activities across the contract, including scheduling and programming of works as required.
Oversee crews conducting road maintenance and minor civil construction and ensure all works are executed safely, efficiently.
Lead daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, and ensure crew compliance with SWMS & ASECS.
Ensure implementation of approved Traffic Guidance Schemes and ROLs.
Organise and manage materials, plant, and labour on-site to meet daily productivity and quality targets.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and traffic control providers to ensure timely delivery and support.
Perform checks on workmanship, materials, and clean-up to confirm quality and conformance before handover.
Record daily site activities, including crew hours, quantities, delays, weather conditions, and photos in asset management system & Close out Defects.
Communicate with residents, motorists, or local businesses where required to explain work impacts, duration, and access arrangements.
Ensure everyone that undertakes work on the contract has the correct training and has valid licences.
Supporting the contract management system to ensure all maintenance or project activities are completed.
Ensure all KPI’s and contract performance requirements are met.
Assist in the management of maintenance and construction projects in accordance with standards and Risk Management Process.
Key Selection Criteria The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of:
Preference for a recognised tertiary qualification (engineering or construction), or a high level of demonstrated relevant experience.
Current driver’s license.
Minimum of 5 year’s experience in a road’s infrastructure environment.
Minimum of 5 year’s experience in managing people and/or multiple stakeholders.
Demonstrated significant number of years’ experience in construction or services industry and safety management in a major subcontractor management role.
Enjoys working collaboratively with people and thrives in a team environment.
